About the Role

We are expanding and seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at Accounting House. This is a strictly bookkeeping role—no remittance filing or tax preparation involved.

What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple client accounts with accuracy and efficiency
  • Handle Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll, and invoicing
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets for accountant review
  • Assist with year-end preparation for corporate tax filings and government remittances
  • Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and perform account reconciliations
  • Maintain compliance with CRA guidelines, GST/HST rules, and Quick Method HST
  • Work with multi-currency transactions, exempted supplies, and professional corporations
  • Stay current with US sales tax and cross-border bookkeeping practices

Tools & Skills Required

  • QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online proficiency is a must
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multiple clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping standards
  • Must be able to navigate accounting systems with ease
