About the Role

ITPS (Canada) Ltd. is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant to support our busy finance department. This entry-level role is ideal for an individual who is confident with computers, highly organized, and eager to learn accounting systems (Sage 50,Sage Intacct, CentreSuite, and ERP tools) in a professional environment. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounting team to ensure accurate financial processing across ITPS and related entities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Support (Primary Focus)

- Assist with entry and coding of vendor invoices, contractor invoices, and employee expense reports into Sage 50 (Soon to be Sage Intacct)

- Support the preparation of weekly payment runs, including Canadian and foreign payments.

- Help prepare EFT, wire, ACH, and cheque payments for approval and processing.

- Follow up with vendors, contractors, and employees to obtain missing invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.

- Assist with corporate credit card reconciliation, coding, and tracking down transactions in CentreSuite.

- Learn to identify VAT, HST, and GST requirements on invoices.

- Assist in matching invoices to purchase orders and vendor/contractor agreements.

- Support the AP Specialist in streamlining payment processes and improving efficiency.

General Accounting & Administration

- Assist with audit preparation, document gathering, and file organization.

- Help prepare basic accounting reports under supervision.

- Support intercompany reconciliation tasks as needed.

- Maintain organized, accurate digital filing systems for all financial documents.

- Assist with AR/AP-related banking transactions when senior staff are away.

- Provide vacation coverage for basic AP tasks (with training and support).

Systems & Technology Support

- Learn Sage 50/ Intactt , CentreSuite, and new ERP tools as they are implemented.

- Help with system transitions, including testing, data entry, and troubleshooting.

- Assist in ensuring accurate integration of CentreSuite expense downloads into Sage Intacct.

- Provide administrative support for new finance system setup and updates.

Qualifications

Required

- Strong computer confidence; willing and able to learn new systems quickly

- High attention to detail

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to follow structured processes

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Solid data-entry accuracy

- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and especially Excel

Preferred (nice-to-have, not required)

- Experience with Sage 50/Intacct or any accounting software

- Exposure to accounts payable, bookkeeping, or financial administration

- Experience in aviation, education, or multi-entity environments
