**Accounting Assistant**

Palumbo Homes in London, ON

Palumbo Homes has been building custom single-family homes in London, Ontario for over 50 years and has been London’s leading designer and builder of one-floor and two-story luxury condominiums since 1987.

Our company has an opportunity for an accounting assistant to join our team and to handle general clerical tasks in our office.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure the timely review, coding, and data entry of vendor invoices
- Maintain financial records by filing documents and maintaining records
- Prepare payments for approvals and processing
- Process payments by cheque and EFT
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements
- Resolve account discrepancies by corresponding with vendors to investigate issues in a timely manner
- Work with vendors to update and maintain vendor databases
- Create customer invoices and post their payment to their accounts
- Manage and order office supplies
- Assist the Owners and Office Manager as required

**Requirements**:

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Prior data entry experience and knowledge of accounting programs
- Warm, bright personality with strong communication, listening and oral skills
- Reliable, dependable, and positive attitude

Education: Post Secondary Education or Equivalent

Experience: 2-3 years accounts payable and receivables experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Work Remotely: No

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
