The role of Director, Business Development, Greater Vancouver Area & Victoria – Aspire reports to the Director, National Sales - Aspire and is responsible for generating mortgage originations and servicing broker clients.

Strive offers a flexible work environment including a hybrid/remote working arrangement. This role requires travel.

Your day to day will include:

● Ensure sound knowledge of Strive mortgage products, services, and innovative technologies as well as competitor's products

● Remain up to date on Mortgage Insurance products, alternative lending products, services and eligibility

● Identify and build long-term broker relationships, increase broker and overall portfolio originations, and continuously develop new contacts and volume sources from the broker community

● Establish commitment targets per broker relationships in a defined geographic region that supports Strive's overall origination plan.

● Educate and market to both existing and new broker clients on company products and services, and present to large and small groups

● Communicate and sell the benefits of Strive to broker clients i.e., A better lending experience; superb service; experienced and innovative leaders/team

● Create a marketing sales plan, including annual and quarterly goals, and volume forecasting; meet with broker-owners and their brokers, obtain business volume commitments, and forecast results and estimate total potential business volumes

● Escalating issues/obstacles/trends to Senior Management as appropriate with recommendations/solutions

● Manage within assigned budgets

● Attend and participate in broker-related industry events throughout the region inside and outside of normal working hours

● Prepare weekly sales logs and appointment schedules

● Performing other duties and assisting with special projects (as assigned)

You will bring:

● Bachelor's degree is desired, preferably in business, with a focus on Sales and/or equivalent work experience

● Minimum of two years experience in the mortgage industry, as well as experience working with third-party vendors and external partners

● Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high aptitude for building client relationships

● Must be an adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment

● Competency in Microsoft Office; capacity to learn new technologies/systems i.e., CRM

● Must be available to travel based on business needs
