About the Role

A well-established private post-secondary institution located in Vancouver Downtown is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead and manage overall campus operations.

The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of Canadian college operations, compliance, academic administration, admissions workflow, student services, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities


• Oversee daily campus operations, administration, and academic functions


• Ensure compliance with provincial regulatory bodies (PTIB, DLI requirements, audits, policies)


• Lead admissions, registrar activities, scheduling, faculty coordination, and quality control


• Manage staff, set KPIs, and maintain strong leadership across all departments


• Implement operational processes, SOPs, and performance improvements


• Coordinate with marketing, finance, academic departments, and external stakeholders


• Drive growth, student satisfaction, and operational excellence


• Handle conflict resolution, student issues, and escalation management


• Monitor reporting, documentation, and regulatory filings


• Support senior management in strategic planning and expansion

Requirements


• 7–10+ years of leadership experience in the Canadian post-secondary education sector


• Strong knowledge of college compliance (PTIB/Private Institutions), operations & administration


• Proven experience managing teams, faculty, and multiple departments


• Excellent communication, leadership & decision-making skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment


• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
