Who You Are

We are looking for a HR Coordinator who plays a key role in supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations and people programs across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with employees and leaders, and building strong foundations across the employee lifecycle. You're organized, approachable, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a positive employee experience.

You like being "in the action," value collaboration, and are motivated to grow your HR knowledge in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

The Role

First 6 Months – Learn & Support

  • Support the HR department with day-to-day operations and company-wide HR initiatives
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and file management
  • Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems and personnel files
  • Learn MRG's HR policies, programs, and compliance requirements across provinces
  • Support the coordination of employee resources and access, including devices, systems, and tools
  • Build strong working relationships with employees across the organization

Ongoing – Grow & Contribute

  • Support the coordination, promotion, and execution of MRG Way training programs
  • Partner with Recruitment to support special programs, including internship programs
  • Coordinate office administration activities as they relate to HR operations
  • Assist with policy updates and ensure alignment with employment standards, human rights legislation, and health & safety requirements
  • Support employee relations matters, with guidance from the HR Manager and senior HR partners as applicable
  • Support internal HR communications and updates
  • Track and report basic HR metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and employee experience
  • Take on increased responsibility and ownership as experience and confidence grow
  • Partner with HR and Recruitment to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or HR Generalist support role
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of Canadian employment legislation
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in building a long-term career in Human Resources

Bonus if you:

  • CHRP designation completed or in progress is an asset
  • Have experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, or multi-location environments
  • Have used an ATS or HR system (training will be provided)
  • Have used a project management system (training will be provided)
  • Are curious about talent development, HR programs, or people analytics
  • Enjoy improving processes and bringing structure to busy, dynamic teams

What's In It For You

  • Participation in the MRG Travel Ambassador Program
  • A fun, collaborative, and creative team culture
  • Employee discounts to MRG concerts, shows, and hospitality venues
  • Career growth and learning opportunities with Canada's leading entertainment group
