Overview

Looking for an Afghan Experienced Chef for catering and Banquet Events located at Concord.

We'll pay a competitive wage and help with all support needed to run events

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Afghan dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ensure timely execution of all banquet orders
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food supplies
  • Coordinate with event planners and service staff to meet specific dietary requirements and presentation expectations

Skills

  • Extensive banquet experience with a strong understanding of catering operations
  • Understanding of Afghan/South Asian/Middle Eastern Events and Catering procedures
  • Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Background in dietary department protocols and special dietary accommodations
  • Leadership abilities with experience managing kitchen teams and shift operations
  • Inventory management skills including inventory control and food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and HACCP guidelines
  • Experience with restaurant or hospitality management is REQUIRED

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
