Duties

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner during banquets and events
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, and tableware
  • Clear plates, utensils, and glassware promptly and maintain cleanliness throughout the event
  • Assist with food handling, food preparation, and bussing as needed to support the culinary team
  • Ensure guest comfort by addressing special requests and providing attentive service
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Collaborate with event staff to ensure smooth operation of all banquet functions
  • Replenish supplies such as linens, silverware, and condiments as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or hospitality is preferred; banquet experience is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for events
  • Experience with guest relations, restaurant service, or hotel operations is advantageous
  • A friendly attitude with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Work Location: In person
