About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Payroll & Benefits Coordinator
to join our Finance team. This role supports the full-cycle payroll process across multiple provinces and countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, compliance with different levels of government regulations, and strong collaboration with the Payroll Manager.

This is a hybrid position—work onsite Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for employees across Canada, the United States, and other applicable countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment standards
  • File and reconcile Workers Compensation reports and remittances in multiple jurisdictions
  • Calculate and verify EHT, CPP, EI, and other payroll-related source deductions, ensuring compliance with CRA and other authorities
  • Assist with year-end reporting requirements
  • Maintain employee records and ensure payroll data integrity within ADP
  • Prepare payroll summaries and reconciliations for review by the Payroll Manager
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll & benefits with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and other payroll-related projects as required
  • Administer the Employee Benefits Program, including employee onboarding, changes, and offboarding

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-provincial environment
  • Experience or education in accounting is an asset
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and source deductions (CPP, EI, EHT, etc.)
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems as an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel and general accounting principles is an asset
  • Currently enrolled or working toward the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered an asset
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000
per year, based on experience.
