Summary

The Operations Lead's primary responsibilities are to lead the Warehouse Associates while they perform their duties in fulfillment, operations and the outbound area. The position requires someone that must be cleared to work in a bonded facility. The Lead will also assign duties and tasks to the employees on their shift and ensure that they are using the time clock accordingly. The Lead will also ensure all duties are completed daily, that all shipments are sorted accordingly and will remain in constant communication with the Shift Supervisors and Facility Manager.

Job Description

Core responsibilities will include the following areas:

  • Ensure all SLAs are met, and the shipments are tendered to the proper carrier/zone.
  • Daily check of equipment including forklift.
  • Working with various carriers and contractors.
  • Dealing with CBSA
  • Cleaning and organizing inventory of stock and warehouse.
  • Lead the Fulfillment teams work activities; monitoring, directing, and maneuvering personnel to ensure daily goals and priorities are met.
  • Assist in leading start of shift meetings; allocate team members according to daily order requirements, communicate daily goals and expectations.
  • Provide feedback to Supervisors/Manager as required, overall team performance, challenges, material requirements, process enhancements and team suggestions.
  • Assist with training new staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications include:

  • Education – high school diploma or GED
  • Specialized knowledge – computer usage (specifically Excel)
  • Skills – organized, self-motivating, customer service oriented
  • Abilities – operate computer and scanner
  • Other characteristics such as personal characteristics – ability to lift up to 50 lbs, friendly and approachable to staff
  • Experience – previous warehouse experience
  • Shift requirements – Monday to Friday – 06:30am to 3:00pm. Additional hours/shifts as required
  • Physical requirements – standing for extended periods of time/lifting/repetitive tasks
