Woody's RV World Red Deer is currently looking for a new Accounting Clerk - AR, Inventory, Sales. As an integral part of the Woody's RV World accounting team, the Accounting Clerk – Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Sales, is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient operation of the AR, Inventory and Sales accounting functions, and supporting Operational departments with their day-to-day accounting needs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years' experience in an accounting-related role and is familiar with accounts receivable and inventory. Accounting experience in a dealership and retail industry is considered an asset.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Compile and analyze monthly AR reports using Integrated Dealer Systems (IDS) for management review, highlighting concerns such as aging
  • Create AR invoices as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of posting and delivery
  • Communicate and collaborate with management to resolve AR invoicing issues
  • Provide overall support to the Accounting Technician and Controller for daily and ad-hoc AR tasks

Inventory:

  • Review inventory purchase invoices and compare them to inventory system for accuracy of invoice costs, general ledger coding, descriptions, and locations
  • Record manual entries for additional inventory costs such as freight, foreign exchange and other allowances to ensure total unit costs are entered into the system accurately
  • Reconcile manufacturer and freight carrier invoices for payments processing in accordance with the pay schedule
  • Maintaining accurate tracking of used and consignment units to support various sales department programs and incentives
  • Provide overall support to the Accounting Technician and Controller with ad-hoc inventory tasks

Sales :

  • Work closely with departments to collect and compile information required for posting RV unit sales that occurred during the period
  • Finalize and post sales in IDS once all information is reviewed and all sales are balanced
  • Ensure the sales posting process is completed with accuracy in alignment with scheduled cut-off dates, and communicate deficiencies or errors with the Accounting Technician or Controller
  • Create internal monthly dealership report summarizing financial sales information for the period

Other duties:

  • Respond to inventory (stock) related queries from management, staff, banks, customers, manufacturers and vendors as required
  • Participate in the Accounting Month End process, including performing various balance sheet reconciliations
  • Organize and maintain manufacturers invoice files and inventory (stock) sales files
  • Participate in establishing proper internal controls, checks and balances to ensure the accuracy, accountability and integrity of the AR, Sales, and Inventory accounting functions
  • Perform general ledger account analysis to identify errors and initiate correcting entries as required

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from department managers and staff, and the Controller and CFO
  • Utilize tools and resources available to complete job duties, problem solve independently, and collaboratively where appropriate
