_**Accounts Receivable Clerk**_

As a result of expanding business operations, Marshall Construction is looking for a qualified Accounts Receivable clerk to support our daily operations of the finance department. As an Accounts Receivable clerk, you will assist with Accounts Receivable data entry, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. Accuracy, attention to detail and maintaining strict confidentiality are crucial in this role. Previous experience working with Sage 300CRE or Acumatica would be an asset. Payroll experience is required

- **Objectives of this role**:_
- Perform routine clerical accounting duties while adhering to established standards
- Serve as a resource for the accounts receivable and payroll departments
- Assist with year-end requests under the direction of the Controller
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Support accounts receivable systems and processes
- Support payroll processing systems and processes
- Utilize accounting software (such as Sage 300CRE, Acumatica, HH2, Smart sheet, Microsoft Office) to perform daily tasks
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Liaise with clients and other departments to resolve any financial issues
- Provide customer service to clients regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks
- Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with implementing new accounting procedures and policies as required.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- File and retrieve financial documents as needed
- Accurately input financial data into accounting software and databases
- Maintain organized and up to date records of financial transactions
- Provide support during internal and external audits as required and instructed by department leads
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Department
- **Required skills and qualifications**:_
- Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable Clerk or comparable role
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive character and willingness to learn and share workloads across the team when needed
- **Preferred skills and qualifications**:_
- Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent) in finance or accounting
- One or two years of experience in clerical accounting
