Goldec Hamm’s Manufacturing is a long-time custom tank and equipment manufacturer located in Red Deer, Alberta.

We are currently looking for an in-office Payroll and Accounting Clerk. This position reports to the Financial Controller and General Manager. Duties will include, but are not limited to, payroll and time card entry, benefits account maintenance, accounts payable and payment functions and various administrative tasks. We are looking for a team player who is detail-oriented, eager to take on new roles, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.

**Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Maintain timecard, payroll and benefits personnel records for hourly staff
- Process bi-weekly hourly payroll and related remittances for review by controller
- Maintain vacation schedules and training records
- Preparation of T4s and ROEs
- Benefits administration
- Be able to address payroll and benefits questions and requests
- Compile and report weekly payroll statistics
- Perform three way matching of A/P invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Prepare cheque runs and EFTs for processing
- Vacation relief for shipping/receiving
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff members
- General administrative and office duties
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems and basic databases

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Experience preparing hourly payroll using a computerized payroll package
- Payroll certification in Canada is an asset but is not required
- Experience using SAP Business One is an asset but not required
- Experience with basic accounting concepts
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Data entry accuracy
- Desire to continuously improve systems and processes with an open mind to change
