Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for full cycle of bookkeeping including job costing, financial reporting, and payroll. This role is essential in supporting the management with timely and accurate financial information to guide decision-making and ensure profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare manufacturing cost reports and profitability summaries for various products
  • Analyze direct materials, direct labor, and overhead allocations related to each product.
  • Process AR, AP transactions, bank and accounts reconciliation of the companies assigned. Ensure timely and accurate financial statements prepared in accordance with ASPE and company policies.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Identity internal control risk and area for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary degree in Accounting. Enrollment in CPA PEP is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of full cycle accounting experience, with Canadian payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE and GAAP.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.
