Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in account management, and maintaining the integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in corporate finance, account analysis, and financial reporting within a dynamic organization.

Duties

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to match bank statements with company records
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and ledger maintenance
  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero to record transactions and generate financial reports
  • Assist with payroll processing and other financial services as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during all financial transactions
  • Maintain organized records of all financial documents for audit readiness

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial roles
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, account analysis, and reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting procedures
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliation and support auditing activities effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant accounting tools
  • Prior experience in financial services or related fields is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to deadlines

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
