Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves effectively communicating with customers, understanding their vehicle needs, and coordinating with technicians to ensure quality service delivery. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for automotive repair will thrive in this position. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction, driving sales of services and parts, and ensuring smooth shop operations.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, ensuring customer understanding.
  • Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and discuss options for repairs or maintenance.
  • Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer's vehicle health while maintaining integrity.
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of service history and customer interactions within the dealership management system.
  • Assist in promoting dealership promotions, warranty work, and service packages to maximize sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Prior dealership experience is highly preferred; experience in automotive repair or mechanic background is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Proven sales ability, including upselling services and parts effectively without compromising integrity.
  • Cash handling experience ensuring accuracy during transactions.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and communication. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise meets exceptional customer service, contributing directly to the success of our dealership operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$28.48 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
