Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services and repairs. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will be essential in providing accurate information and recommendations to clients, ensuring their needs are met while enhancing their overall experience at our dealership.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of automotive services and repairs, ensuring customers understand the work required.
  • Price out jobs as needed and relay the information to the customer for authorization.
  • Mark parts received and highlight invoice to ensure accurate billing
  • Manage service appointments and maintain an organized schedule to optimize workflow.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
  • Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Discuss additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming service area for customers.

Skills

  • Strong background in customer service, with a focus on building relationships and providing exceptional support.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.
  • Ability to use computer software system to price out jobs and maintenence recommendations.
  • Experience in a dealership environment is preferred, with familiarity in automotive repair processes.
  • Ability to connect with the customer to rebook declined work to keep their vehicle's maintenence up to date.
  • Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
  • Confidence when presenting recommended services or products based on customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
