With recent substantial growth, we are searching for a brand-new key team role of **Human Resources Manager**. This position will report directly to the CEO President. **Position Overview**
The primary purpose of this position is to partner with the executive team to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met. The HR Manager does this by maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources through planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. As a federally regulated organization the HR Manager will also ensure compliance with a wide range of federal statutes, regulations, and legislation and be well versed in the labour code.
The HR Manager will ensure that all related strategies, policies, processes and systems are put in place and continuously enhanced with respect to all of these functions and has the following key responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy in human resources in support of the objectives and direction of the organization
- Oversee the human resources functions of the organization, ensuring that all programs and processes are carried out in accordance with our values and policies, and are in compliance with all labour code and federal regulations
- Lead all HR annual cycle programs (including performance management, recognition programs, compensation and long-term incentive planning, professional development initiatives, workforce planning and succession planning)
- Manage and support recruiting and termination processes for the organization, including job description development, guidance through hiring process, employee sign up and orientation, exit interviews
- Coordinate employee benefits program including the annual renewal and staff education; ensuring that updates are distributed to staff effectively and information is readily and conveniently available
- Keep track of employee milestones and entitlements and provide routine reporting to management and staff (i.e. length of service recognition, vacation accrual)
- Evolve HR policies to be consistent with business needs and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate and complete the monthly reports for the executive and quarterly reporting requirements for shareholders, peer groups and government regulatory agencies
- Coach and assist management on various employee relations issues (performance issues, return to work plans, workplace investigations, disciplinary process and terminations)
- Provide professional support, guidance, and counsel to all staff (ensure that all staff receive frequent feedback from managers, professional development initiatives are supported and all staff have opportunities to provide feedback and receive recognition)
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Post-secondary degree in a field such as business or human resources with a Chartered Professional Human Resource designation
- Knowledge of federal and provincial statues, regulations, policies and applicable legislation
- Expert communication skills (both written and verbal) sufficient to explain complex issues in a succinct and plain manner
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to synthesize large volumes of information and draw appropriate conclusions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage one’s own work and direct the work of others
- Expertise in handling confidential and sensitive communication with demonstrated ability to make key decisions and take direct leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and create effective solutions and see them through to implementation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
