**Job Overview**

The Payroll Specialist will perform full cycle payroll processing as well as accounting functions within the FRAM + Slokker group of companies. This is an in-office role located at our head office in Mississauga

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Human Resources team to ensure proper set up of new employees, terminations and leaves of absence in ADP Workforce Now system
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried and union employees
- Run year end payroll processing and reporting
- Keep abreast of payroll legislation and ensure compliance
- Calculate and report taxable benefits
- Responsible for calculating payouts on employee terminations according to ESA standards
- Responsible for responding to payroll inquiries from employees
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- Ad hoc payroll reports as requested by the management team
- Assist finance team with accounting tasks such as: preparing bank reconciliations, monitoring accounts receivable and bookkeeping
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information

**Qualifications**
- Accounting diploma or degree
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred
