As Bookkeeper/ Accounting Administrator you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting operations. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end reconciliations, and financial analysis. The goal of this position is to ensure financial reports are accurate and up to date and enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives. This position will be working from the Kitchener head office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accounts payable and receivable modules including all aspects of the accounting procedures, adjustments, cheque processing, collection of outstanding money and reports, completing bank deposits, and reconciliations
- Preparation of financial statements and reports including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
- Maintain general ledgers
- Process accounts payables and accounts receivables
- Process cheques, and electronic fund transfers and make required journal entries
- Facilitate staff reimbursements
- Review of payroll prior to processing and issue T4s and T4 summaries, act as a back up for payroll
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding accounts
- Preparation of invoicing of accounts including supporting documentation
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparation of working papers and work with Accountants for the year-end tax reporting
- Calculate and complete Government filings: CRA filings, HST, Payroll, Source Deductions, WSIB (and other province workplace insurance filings)
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records
- Maintaining confidentiality of financial information
- Recording inter-company transactions
- Property tax tracking and review
- Ensure compliance with all company, local, provincial, and federal accounting and financial regulations
- Other tasks or duties as assigned by Senior Management, that may be required to ensure the continued success of the company.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years’ proven experience as a bookkeeper or performing accounting duties
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Knowledge of payroll processing
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus
- Familiarity with tax regulations and preparation
- Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g. Simply Accounting, Payworks, Sage 50 Accounting Software etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
