We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Bookkeeper/Office Manager** to ensure the smooth operation of our company’s financial and administrative functions as the company grows.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Financial Management_
- Interface with external accountants for accurate tracking of transactions and year-end filings.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
- Assist with budget management and forecasting.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration_
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.
- Manage employee benefits, including enrollments and compliance with relevant policies.
- Office Management_
- Handle logistics for day-to-day operations, including international shipments to clients, sourcing materials and office supplies, equipment, and dealing with vendor relationships.
- Manage company correspondence, filing systems, and records.
- Serve as the point of contact for administrative inquiries and resolve operational issues proactively.
- Compliance and Coordination_
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to finance and office operations.
- Coordinate with team members and departments to ensure smooth operational workflows.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, office manager, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and office management tools.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and year-end filing requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with accountants, vendors, and team members.
- A background in science, particularly in biology, is a plus.
