Part-time Bookkeeping Assistant

**Overview**:
We are a busy periodontal dental practice seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeping Assistant to help organize and manage our monthly financial paperwork. This role focuses on gathering, tracking, and preparing receipts, statements, invoices, and payment records — and preparing and filing them so they are ready for our accountant to process.
**Hours**:
- **3-6 hours per week**_ on a consistent, but flexible schedule
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Track and collect receipts, bills, statements, and invoices
- Organize and prepare files for monthly accounting
- Reconcile Visa and other statements with receipts
- Scan, upload, and file documents (digitally and physically)
- Maintain accurate records and up-to-date filing systems
- Complete weekly, and month-end and year-end bookkeeping tasks
- Other general bookkeeping / administrative related tasks or support as needed
**Skills & Tools**:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Hub-Doc, and using a Scan-Snap
- Independent, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, fast learner
- Prior experience in bookkeeping support or office admin is an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 - 6 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
**Experience**:
