**Full job description**
Talk-Talk Speech and Language Services provides in-clinic and virtual speech and language therapy for children across the Greater Toronto Area. Using an interdisciplinary approach, we work together to support the needs of children and their families.
We’re currently looking for enthusiastic and professional **Communicative Disorders Assistants** (CDA) to join our diverse and dedicated team of clinicians in Brampton and Milton.
Our CDA’s are responsible for:
- Delivering speech and language therapy in one-to-one and/or small group formats.
- Implements skill acquisition plans targeting specific language, articulation, and augmentative communication-based goals.
- Working under the supervision of a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preparing materials, developing activities, implementing intervention plans, and working towards established speech-language goals.
- Provide treatment to clients in clinic.
- Ability to make your own schedule.
- Creates low-tech communication aids.
- Maintains accurate documentation in the form of progress notes and progress summaries.
- Other assigned duties as provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Communicating and collaborating with team members, parents, and other professionals.
- A graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders program (CDAAC Membership is an asset).
- Skilled at using best practice guidelines and evidence-based information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Good at working collaboratively with other team members and supervisors.
- Strong planning, priority setting, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Boardmaker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a wide range of client needs.
- Flexibility and time management skills to manage a continually changing caseload.
- Experience with AAC an asset.
- Valid driver’s license, use of own vehicle and willing to travel.
- An up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Screening.

- Weekends as needed
