We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Accounts Payable, Team Lead to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable, Supervisor, you will oversee a team responsible for processing timely and accurate payments of accounts payable invoices while ensuring all documentation is approved by authorized personnel in accordance with company policy. You will be participating and leading a strong, cohesive team that will be handling confidential information and supporting on a variety of tasks in order to achieve tight deadlines.

You will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of AP and/ or Office Services representatives to ensure all deadlines are met daily/weekly.- Developing and training AP team members to enhance individual team skills and knowledge.- Participating in annual success plans for each team member and onboarding process of new team members.- Reviewing processes, looking for opportunities for improvement.- Providing key department metrics to the AP Supervisors using Peoplesoft queries & reports.- Responding timely to internal and external inquiries including troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues.- Reconciling supplier accounts and investigating discrepancies as required.- Performing account reconciliation and journal entries as required.- Assisting AP Supervisors as required.

You have:
- 2+ years in an Accounts Payable department leading a team of direct reports.- Accounts Payable experience working with a large organization with various types of Invoice processing including - Inventory, Expense, PO match & EDI.- An understanding of basic accounting principles.- Intermediate MS Excel skills.

- Self-aware, empathetic and possess a high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong interpersonal skills.- Detail oriented and very organized.- Able to meet deadlines and to handle concurrent priorities, while dealing with high volume.- Be flexible to move around within AP and lead different teams as required.
