Applications are invited for the regular on-going position of part-time Administrative Assistant (2 positions) in the Research & Innovation Division. The starting salary is $24.05/hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. One position is based in Welland to support the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (WAMIC) and the other position will be based in Niagara-on-the-Lake supporting the Food and Beverage Innovation Centre (FBIC).
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Preparing project documentation and metrics support.
- Ongoing and accurate tracking of project data to facilitate report completion by deadline.
- Provide administrative support to competitive purchasing process.
- Coordinate shipping of items to and from clients.
- Track shipping invoices, payments and accounts.
- Assist with meeting and event coordination by;
- Creating agendas, scheduling participants and providing relevant information prior to the event.
- Coordinate catering, meeting spaces and materials as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 year diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or similar field of study.
- Previous experience and demonstrated ability in a related administrative support capacity.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in an office environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working independently while being a collaborative member of the team.
- Uncompromised commitment to confidentially.
- Previous experience in client relations is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with a CRM is considered an asset.
