TLAFC is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Administrative Finance

Assistant. The successful applicant will be familiar with financial management within a Non-Profit Business environment & Aboriginal organizations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans, organizes and controls the finances of the Friendship Centre
- Prepares financial reports and other documentation as required
- Prepares department budgets in conjunction with department supervisors
- Provides financial advice and guidance to Management Team
- Process Accounts Payable and Receivables
- Process Payroll
- Support with implementing funds and coordinating payments for approved products, services and supports.
- Maintain a record of issued Notification of Decision (NOD) and invoices/receipts/purchase orders for the approved items purchased.
- Work with all staff members, including program coordinators, finance, and office managers.
- Provide additional support to ensure the successful operation of programs and services.
- Possess personal and professional values aligned with holistic programming and have an appreciation for the diversity of families we serve.
- Solution-oriented and have a strong willingness to learn in a team environment.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team.

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree in Administration/ Business/Finance or Equivalent
- Experience in an Aboriginal Organization; Administration and a Non-Profit environment is an asset.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Experience with financial management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a Team Player
- Knowledge of ACCPAC/SAGE 300 would be an asset
- Knowledge of EXCEL and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Excellent report and analytical skills
- Experience in a financial industry would be asset
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
