This is a Part Time Position.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable **Accounting Assistant** to support our finance and operations teams. This role includes responsibilities in **Accounts Payable (AP)**, **Accounts Receivable (AR)**, **payroll support**, **procurement backup**, and active involvement in the **implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP)**.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Payable (AP)**:

- Process and verify vendor invoices
- Ensure timely and accurate payments
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

**Accounts Receivable (AR)**:

- Generate and send customer invoices
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile AR accounts and assist with collections

**Payroll Support**:

- Assist in collecting and verifying payroll data
- Support payroll processing and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll policies

**Procurement Backup**:

- Support purchasing activities and vendor coordination
- Track orders and maintain procurement records
- Assist with inventory and supply management as needed

**ERP Implementation - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central**:

- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants during implementation
- Assist in data migration, testing, and validation
- Provide feedback on system functionality and help document processes
- Support training and onboarding of staff on the new system

**General Accounting & Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate domestic and international shipping logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Manage export and import documentation and ensure compliance with relevant trade regulations
- Support the month-end close process, including preparation of basic financial reports and reconciliations
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the finance department, including data entry, internal correspondence, and document management

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage)
- Experience with or exposure to ERP systems (Business Central a strong asset)
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
