**Duties & Responsibilities**

**General**
- Perform accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, process payroll, administrative, and clerical functions to support the Accounting Department

**Accounts Payable**
- Receive and verify invoices for goods and services
- Input accounts payable data and process bills for payment
- Manage the periodic vendor payments via cheque
- Maintain listing of accounts payable, ensure accuracy and timely payment, and provide reports to management
- Maintain vendor files

**Accounts Receivable**
- Generating sales invoices for clients
- Ensuring timely receipt of payments from outstanding invoices
- Working with other departments to verify and record transactions

**Payroll**

Process bi-weekly payroll with excellent knowledge of legislative payroll requirements and payroll accounting for 100+ employees in multiple locations

**Accounting**
- Prepare worksheets & spreadsheets, general journal entries, and record transactions to the accounting software
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Assist in the reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts

**Other**
- Assist in special projects and initiatives
- Other duties will be assigned as required

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Education Requirements**:

- Completion of a College Diploma

**Skills & Experience**:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting support role for a large company
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- **A minimum of 1 year processing payroll is required**
- Previous experience in Microsoft Navision (MS NAV) is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Accounting practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and its functionality at an intermediate level
- A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
- The ability to work well independently
- Meticulous record keeping skills and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills
- A strong work ethic, diligence, and commitment
- The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,219.68 per year
