North Vancouver, Canada Stongs Market Full time

**Overview**: Stong’s Market is seeking a self-starting, team player to fill a temporary 6-month contract as the company’s Marketing Coordinator. This role will be filled for a 6 month period with the possibility of extension. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is seeking to take the next step in their career who has a hands-on, collaborative approach and enjoys interacting in-person with a variety of people inside the company. This position reports to the Marketing Director and requires website and graphic design experience. This position will play an important role in building the marketing tools that elevate the Stong’s Market brand.

With two current locations, Stong’s Market is a BC owned and operated independent grocer, well-known for its abundance of local grocery products and community involvement This position is based at our North Vancouver location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the marketing and store teams to collaborate and participate in the creative process.
- Design the bi-weekly flyer.
- Create the bi-weekly e-newsletter to correspond with the flyer.
- Create branded concepts, designs and layouts for various collateral including, but not limited to in-store collateral, digital and print ads for various publications, and social media assets.
- Assist with local community events
- Bring thought provoking and solution-oriented concepts to the forefront.
- Attend weekly Marketing Meetings with retail and office teams
- Work closely with the Retail Management team to execute various Marketing initiatives
- Gets involved in the local community and is a strong ambassador for the Stong’s brand

**Des**i**red Skills**:

- Post Secondary education in graphic design is preferred
- Familiarity with Photoshop (Indesign, Illustrator), Wordpress and Search Engine Optimization
- Is proficient in using MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and communicates well with supervisor and others on status of workload
- Shows strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Places a high degree of value on self-development and is not afraid to learn new skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (both in-person and written)
- Embraces new and innovative ideas with the ability to be an agent for change
- Innovates and thinks outside the box
- Currently eligible to work in Canada

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
