**The Opportunity**:
This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual with a background in accounts payable and an interest in developing their skills in purchasing coordination. The position will focus heavily on accounts payable coordination, with a path for growth into the purchasing aspects of the role.

**Role Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Payable**:

- Process all source documentation and enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable systems.
- Assist with the preparation of financial records and vendor account reconciliations.
- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate payment scheduling.
- Organize and maintain existing administrative processes for source document organization.

**Purchasing Coordination**:

- Assist in administering the procurement process by; issuing requests for information, creating tender/bid packages, evaluating bids, and making recommendations to management for contract awards.
- Assist the development team to create and maintain processes and systems for administrative management of the purchasing process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve any issues.
- Assist in preparation of periodic budgeting and variance reporting.

**Inventory & Administrative Support**:

- Maintain accurate inventory records and develop quality control procedures.
- Support inventory audits and report on stock usage and budget compliance.
- Provide general administrative support to operations and property management as needed.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
**Education**:

- A two-year diploma in accounting or business administration.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
- Experience in a bookkeeping role or purchasing role is considered an asset.
- Exposure to general accounting principles.
- Experience in construction and/or property management is considered a strong asset.

**Skills**:

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
- Experience using accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero).
- Experience using property management software (e.g., Yardi or Buildium).
- Experience using ERP software is an asset.

**Requirements**:

- A reliable vehicle and a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
- A personal computer and a mobile phone.
