We are looking for a dynamic Accountant / Accounts Payable to join the Simson
- Maxwell team.

- POSITION OVERVIEW
- Located in our Edmonton head office and reporting to the Controller, this position
- is responsible for monthly bank reconciliations. This position involves supervision
- over general accounting and reports directly to the Controller.
- TERMS & CONDITIONS- Permanent, Full-Time, Salaried
- Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year, depending on experience
- Work Location: In person
- Monday - Thursday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Friday 8:00AM - 2:30PM

Description
In this role, you will contribute in the following ways:

- Primarily responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable
- Processing vendors Invoices and other payables, preparing payments in forms
- (Cheques, Wires etc.)- Match cheques with invoices, follow up on getting signatures, mail or courier as
- requested- Assist in month end and year end duties including various account
- reconciliations- Prepare and post approved Journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Corporate Credit Card / Cash expenses - coding and reconciled with payments.
- Assist to prepare & Analyze monthly Financial statements
- Assist in preparing annual audit
- Filing and maintenance of A/P files.
- Communicated with vendors regarding payments, billing issues and follow up
- on inquiries- Maintain a good relationship with suppliers
- Coding and inputting of payables (Utility and other monthly bills)
- Process employee expenses claim and ensuring coded to the respective
- department & expense account- Process company payments and prepare bank deposit & other AR functions as
- and when needed- Meet month-end deadlines
- Protects Organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related work
- as needed- Assist with the budget and financial forecasts processes
- Other tasks as designated by the controller
- QUALIFICATIONS- Diploma level or higher in accounting and finance with 2 - 3 years’ experience in
- Accounting and Accounts Payable roles- ERP system experience is an asset
- Knowledge of industrial services is an asset
- Must be able to manage and execute on multiple tasks
- ATTRIBUTES- Self starter with ability to work well on own and as part of a team
- Ability to analyze complex problems and identify solutions
- Adaptable & confident - able to maintain a constructive & positive attitude
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in
