**Position Overview**: Reporting to the Manager, Banquet Operations, as the Banquet Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of food and beverage services for events, manage concessions operations, and ensure the highest standards of service are maintained. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional event experiences,

**Primary Functions and Responsibilities**:

- **Food and Beverage Management**: Lead a team in providing exceptional guest services in preparation, during and following events. Coordinate food and beverage services for events, ensuring appropriate staffing, direct supervision, and consistency with standards, while managing labour/payroll costs and completing client billing and opening and closing event reports.
- **Leadership**: Participate in interviewing, training, and performance management of Banquet Servers. Manage food service uniform inventory to ensure cleanliness and adherence to the Centre’s standards.
- **Concessions Operations**: Oversee all aspects of concessions, including determining services, maintaining revenue and cost control systems, and ensuring stock levels.
- **Operational Duties**: Complete event opening and closing reports, transfer information to the next manager, foster teamwork, enforce safe work practices, collaborate with Events and Culinary teams to ensure the success of all events.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, focusing on banquets, facilities management, and food service operations.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate food and beverage services with a strong understanding of event logistics.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff management and training.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Knowledge of MS Suite, Outlook and Teams. Familiarity of event management software is an asset.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Smart Choices Certification.
- Requires open availability; ability to work evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
