Job Summary

The Banquet & Event Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless experience for guests. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing staff, and executing events that meet the highest standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management and a passion for delivering outstanding service. They will also have a valid drivers license with working vehicle to transport goods from Downtown location to FortWhyte locations. This role also includes additional premium tip on top of salary range.

Duties

  • Plan and coordinate all banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Supervise banquet staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies necessary for events.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures during events, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their experience.
  • Implement safety and food handling protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience in bartending and knowledge of beverage service is preferred.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and food handling standards.
  • Familiarity with cash handling processes within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Background in restaurant management with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and payments.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during high-pressure situations.

The banquet manager will also be included in the premium tip pool.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
