As an integral member of the Banquet management team, the Banquet Captain is responsible for the successful execution and overall administration of banquet functions and for ensuring the delivery of banquet services exceed guest expectations and consistently fulfil Canad Inns standards of service excellence.

The Banquet Captain responsibilities include an effective reporting relationship with the Banquet Manager and a strong collaborative link with the Culinary Department. The Banquet Captain provides scheduling, leadership, supervision, support duties as well as being an active banquet team member in the preparation, set-up, service, break-down and cleanup of Banquet functions.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 3-4 years of Banquet experience.
- Possess Serving it Safe Certification.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Banquet Captain Responsibilities**:

- Supervises staff activities and productivity at all times;
- Reviews and understands the Banquet Event Order (BEO); facilitates team setup assignments according to the BEO;
- Ensures that tables have been set correctly and uniformly in assigned areas;
- Assist with the development of cost control systems to reduce waste in food, supplies, and labour;
- All other duties as assigned.

**Salary**: From $14.32 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
