**Position Summary**

Capri Medical Centre is a long-established team of 8 physicians and a support staff of Nurses and MOA’s.

We are hiring for a new part-time MOA relief role to complement and add flexibility within our current team of long serving MOA’s.

Full covid-19 vaccination is required.

This position performs a variety of medical office assistant duties, such as:

- Clinical support - escorting to examination/treatment room and ensuring appropriate instruments, procedure trays, or other supplies are set up; attends sensitive examination procedures and treatments; routine measurements - weight, BMI calculations, eye exams, urinalysis;
- Maintains medical/surgical supplies, and equipment;
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instrument

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12
- Medical Office Assistant experience is preferable

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to type 50 wpm
- Strong customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of individuals using compassion and tact
- Ability to handle and organize competing priorities and think and respond in the moment
- Strong sense of teamwork and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to utilize and understand Medical Terminology.
- Wage: $18-$22/hr relative on experience

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kelowna, BC V1Y 3H4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical Office Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
