Who we are?

The Bill Nelems Pain & Research Centre (formerly the Okanagan Interventional Pain Clinic) is a busy pain management clinic specializing in procedural, medical, and rehab interventions for chronic pain. We represent a network of affiliated clinics across the southern interior of British Columbia.

What's the role?

We currently have an opening for a permanent, full-time, professional, mature, and reliable Medical Office Assistant to join our amazing team

Duties include:

· Answer phones.

· Book appointments in accordance with physician instructions.

· Scanning, filing, and other administrative duties.

· Maintain accurate records in the EMR system.

· Collect payment for privately billed procedures.

· Answer general patient questions about the clinic and communicate medical questions to the appropriate physician.

· Sanitize and stock treatment rooms.

· Understand and follow physician preferences for patient bookings.

· Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· A professional and welcoming demeanor towards patients and colleagues is essential.

· Highly organized.

· Strong work ethic.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Full-time availability (Mon - Fri) is required.

· A recognized MOA Certificate is considered an asset but not required.

· Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.

· Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
