**Position Summary**

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager reports to the Director, Redevelopment and Infrastructure. This role is responsible for the organization and supervision of the day-to-day maintenance and facilities functions, oversight of the maintenance employees and ensures that established policies and procedures are adhered to.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Baccalaureate degree in related discipline
- Minimum of three years' leadership experience in a related position, preferably in a hospital setting
- Must be computer literate with good database management skills and demonstrated proficiency in MS office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated budgeting experience
- Demonstrated effective communication skills with all levels of staff, patients, and the public
- Knowledge of Privacy Legislation
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic scheduling system is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHMIS, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations and CSA
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to determine whether requests for immediate service have health & safety implications
- Demonstrated leadership and team building with conflict management and resolution skills.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continually changing priorities
- Demonstrated familiarity with the operation of contracts
- Demonstrated positive work record, good attendance record and ability to do on-call
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the jobs, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Related post-graduate education (e.g. Maintenance Management Professional Certification)
- Certificate in Project Management, an asset

**Hours of Work**

Hours of work for the Manager position are 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday. You will also be scheduled on a Manager on Call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
