Our offices in Lindsay and Mississauga, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta support private and public geotechnical projects across Canada and around the world with on-site geotechnical engineering expertise and comprehensive laboratory testing. With over 100 years of combined experience, our team members provide hands-on help and recommendations to design and test construction projects like roadways and public works, small residential to high-rise buildings, solar installations, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Our diverse team includes engineers, EITs, Field and laboratory technicians of all levels, and we continue to grow rapidly.
**Location**: Lindsay, Ontario
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee operations of PRI Engineering ensuring completion of works in timely fashion, including but not limited to:
- Field services;
- Underground locate clearances;
- Annual membership maintenance, fees and other requirements;
- Reporting and drawing preparations;
- Laboratory testing - both in-house and external; and
- Work with project managers to ensure project milestones are being completed in a timely fashion and ensuring the adequate resources are available to complete the work.
- Work with project managers and engineers to ensure proposal preparation is being completed in a timely fashion and at rates which is approved by the ownership.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly project performance reports.
- Assist with coordination of permitting and construction of future facilities.
- Oversee daily task meetings and ensure staff are being utilized.
- Develop tools for project managers to adequately track project progress, ensuring work is completed in timely fashion and on budget.
- Ensure Purchase Orders are issued for all project and non-project costs and ensure timely payment of subcontractors with accounting team.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the engineering sector.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and familiarity with engineering software.
