**Overview**

**Role and Responsibility as Rep Team Lead Coach/Head Coach**

**1. Leadership & Team Management**
- Serve as the primary leader and role model for players.
- Set the tone for team culture, sportsmanship, and behavior.
- Build a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment.
- Motivate and support players to reach their full potential.

**2. Practice Planning & Game Strategy**
- Plan and conduct effective, age-appropriate practices.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills (dribbling, shooting, defense, etc.).
- Develop game strategies suited to players' skill levels.
- Assign roles and positions based on strengths and development goals.

**3. Player Development**
- Assess player abilities and track progress throughout the season.
- Provide individualized feedback and skill instruction.
- Foster physical conditioning and injury prevention habits.
- Encourage personal growth, teamwork, and responsibility.

**4. Game Day Responsibilities**
- Manage player rotations and time on the court.
- Make real-time strategic decisions during games.
- Communicate effectively with referees and opposing coaches.
- Ensure good sportsmanship from players and fans.

**5. Communication & Collaboration**
- Maintain regular communication with players and parents.
- Set expectations for attendance, effort, and conduct.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and league officials.
- Address concerns or conflicts in a respectful, timely manner.

**6. Safety & Administration**
- Ensure all players use proper equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Respond appropriately to injuries and emergencies.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks (rosters, schedules, reports).
- Stay informed on league rules and compliance requirements.

**7. Personal Development & Representation**
- Continue to learn coaching techniques and basketball knowledge.
- Represent the team and organization with integrity in all settings.
- Attend coaching clinics or training sessions when available.

**Experience**
- Previous coaching experience at the youth or high school level is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of basketball techniques, strategies, and rules is essential.
- Experience in educating athletes in sports or physical education is a plus.
- Ability to motivate and inspire players while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with players, parents, and staff.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
