**Opportunity**:
MacEwan University invites applicants for a full-time continuing Customer Service Representative I opportunity with our Sport and Wellness department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, you will provide high-quality front-line service to the guests of MacEwan University Sport and Wellness in a friendly, welcoming manner that promotes a sense of belonging for all individuals and groups coming to the facility, including students, employees, and the public at large.

Key responsibilities include:

- Monitoring and coordinating access into and throughout the facility;
- Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate services;
- Completing registration and maintenance processes for memberships, parking, locker rental, towel service, courses and services, and pro shop sales;
- Managing equipment rentals and set up, laundry and other cleaning;
- Responding to First Aid emergencies;
- Completing risk management procedures; and
- Responding to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.

**SKILLS**:
You will have:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Organizational and time management skills, with high attention to detail;
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills;
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients and colleagues;
- The ability to work without direct supervision and remain calm under pressure, in a fast-paced environment; and
- Proficiency with computers and various software, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and SharePoint.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a one-year college certificate in physical education, public relations or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience.in customer service, financial transactions, and the fitness and physical education fields.
- Certified in Intermediate First Aid/CPR C and Automatic External Defibrillator.
- Certification in Oxygen Therapy is considered an asset.
- Experience with IntelliManager software is considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- The ability to work a flexible shift schedule, including regular opening shifts from Tuesday to Saturday (Tuesday - Friday 5:15 am - 1:15 pm and Saturday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm).
- The successful incumbent will be required to obtain a Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check at their own cost.
