ABOUT THE POSITION

Our Catering & Events Coordinator will be responsible for:

- All day-to-day operation of the Lounge, patio bar & banquet operations according to the policies, procedures, goals and budgeted guidelines of the Club; recruiting, hiring and scheduling lounge, bar and banquet staff.
- Providing quality leadership support to a team of lounge, banquet, and restaurant servers while utilizing proven motivational skills
- Providing new social events to attract members to our food and beverage facilities
- Handling daily inquiries regarding banquet room availability and bookings, in a timely and professional manner
- Promoting, coordinating and executing all on-site member events, tournaments, meetings, and parties; plans these in conjunction with the staff and/or members, committees and outside clients
- Developing and soliciting banquet, catering and events packages; plans and encourages repeat business through excellent customer service and inquiry handling

YOU HAVE
- Previous experience required within a full-service restaurant or bar, preferably in the premium casual genre and/or Club industry
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a server or bartender
- Event or wedding coordination experience
- Passion for service and commitment to quality
- Responsible alcohol service certificate (Serving It Right)
- Ability to train others to: serve members/guests with enthusiasm, sell as part of the dining experience, assert authority and make judgments
- High level of organizational and communication ability
- Positive attitude, courteous disposition and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills, works well in a team environment
- A valid permit to work in Canada
