The Position

**Duties And Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Promptly process vendor invoices. Accurate data entry and posting, matching PO’s
- Ensure completeness of documentation and approvals keeping deadlines in mind
- Prepare payables and guide them through the cheque run process which is prepared at month end
- Statement reconciliation
- Communicate with vendors, when necessary to correct and modify invoices
- Liaise with Government agencies including Tarion to obtain proper documentation or fill out proper documentation as necessary
- Liaise with lawyers to prepare closing documents as required
- Ensure all work orders are processed and approved
- Maintain files both on the server and hard copy for each project
- Ensure all required documentation including insurance, bonding, workers compensation, statutory declarations, and lien waivers are in place
- Work with utilities and other service providers as projects close. i.e. Tarion, Hydro etc.
- Working knowledge of construction accounting. i.e. how to set up and maintain individual P&L’s, WIP, hard and soft costs
- Administrative duties as assigned
- Support Year End preparation and audits
- Construction budgeting is an asset but not required
- Covers / aids other team members during vacations or as necessary
- Strong communication and written skills
- Special projects as they occur
- Reports directly to the Controller
- Note: Payable duties may vary as projects change

- Professionally handle confidential information
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Diploma in an accounting field

**Education Requirements**
- An accounting related diploma

**Work Experience Requirements**
- 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role (preferably in the construction/new home building sector)

**Target Start Date**: Immediate

**Employee Status**: Regular Full-Time

**Primary Location**: Vaughan, Ontario

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
