**Key Responsibilities**

Under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources, this position provides essential administrative support to the Human Resources (HR) unit, contributing to the efficient operation of all HR functions. This role involves a wide variety of tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, and assisting with various HR processes.

(1) Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history and benefit information.
(2) Inputs and updates employee data in to the City of Regina’s Payroll/HR System (Oracle) and the Regina Police Service Time and Attendance System (CARM).
(3) Manages job class and position number assignments, updating and deleting as per budget approvals. Develops and maintains organizational charts with Oracle and CARM systems.
(5) Maintains comprehensive records of collective agreements, bargaining documents, and resource materials.
(6) Answers employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
(7) Prepares and distributes HR correspondence and reports.
(8) Attends various committee meetings to record minutes and offer knowledge on pre-existing policies and processes related to HR functions as applicable.
(9) Assists with HR projects as needed.
(10) Other duties as assigned.

**Competencies**

(1) Grade 12 or equivalent as well as Office Education certificate or equivalent. Minimum typing speed 50 w.p.m.
(2) Thorough knowledge of computer systems (HRMS, Time and Attendance, Microsoft office suite).
(3) Thorough knowledge of Human Resource systems and processes.
(4) Experience working in a unionized environment.
(5) Ability to interact with senior management level and liaise with the public.
(6) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
(7) The ability to create and maintain documents in an accurate and efficient manner.
(8) The ability to deal with incoming calls and persons in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
(9) Must have the ability to work independently.
(10) Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive material and work in a team environment.

Pay: $62,379.00-$81,145.00 per year
