This HR Advisor will primarily be responsible for recruitment, onboarding and labour relations and will support other general HR functions, project initiatives, and programs. **_This position requires Controlled Goods clearance immediately upon hire._**_ _** **_Major Responsibilities & Duties_**: - Responsible for full cycle recruitment, selection and orientation of union and non-union hires; - Provide continued onboarding support to new hires and act as a point of contact throughout integration; - Provide first level Collective Agreement interpretation; - Provide advice and counsel to both union and exempt employees, including management as required; - Participate in setting departmental goals and initiatives and actively monitor department performance against the set goals and initiatives; - Other duties as assigned. **_Core Skills_**: - Ability to be tactful and diplomatic in interactions with others - Collaborative team player who interacts effectively at all levels - Works well under pressure, meeting deadlines and flexible managing multiple projects simultaneously - Efficient Computer Skills; MS Office Suite - Word & Excel, HRIS - Excellent organizational & time management skills **_Education_**: Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, or related field **_ Experience_**: - 2 years’ experience as Human Resources Coordinator or Generalist - Experience in a unionized environment considered an asset - Previous experience in HRIS or ERP systems considered an asset **_Reasons To Apply_**: - Employee retention and engagement is important to Cascade; we value our employees. - Comprehensive benefits package provided.
