**Market Operations & Vendor Leasing Coordinator (Thursday-Sunday)**

Hwy 404 & Steeles Flea Market is the GTA’s **newest and fastest-growing indoor weekend destination**, home to hundreds of small businesses, food vendors, and local entrepreneurs. We’re expanding fast and need a driven, detail-oriented **Market Operations & Vendor Leasing Coordinator** to keep the market organized, full, and thriving.

**Role Summary**

This is a hands-on position combining **sales, operations, and vendor relations**.
You’ll be responsible for leasing vendor space, coordinating daily operations with mall management, and supporting vendors to ensure smooth weekends. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of phone-based sales and on-the-ground action.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Vendor Leasing & Sales**
- Call, follow up, and convert incoming vendor leads into signed leases
- Schedule and conduct on-site tours with potential tenants
- Negotiate rental terms within management guidelines
- Track leads and performance metrics using Excel or CRM

**Operations & Facility Coordination**
- Act as the liaison between the market and mall management for maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, cleaning, pest control, etc.)
- Schedule service providers and ensure work completion
- Maintain communication logs and report issues to ownership

**Vendor Relations & Weekend Management**
- Assist vendors with setup, move-ins, and booth changes
- Resolve vendor questions and issues promptly
- Provide a visible, approachable presence on the market floor each weekend
- Support special events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns

**Administration & Customer Service**
- Update records, leases, and contact lists accurately
- Assist ownership with reports and market updates

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in **sales, leasing, operations, or vendor coordination**:

- Strong closing skills — confident selling over the phone and in person
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused attitude
- Comfortable working **Thursday through Sunday**, including weekends and occasional events
- Reliable transportation to 2900 Steeles Ave E (limited transit access)

**Schedule**

Thursday - Sunday
(approx. 38-40 hours per week; Fridays and weekends required)

You’re a natural people person who can sell with confidence, stay calm under pressure, and make things happen. You take ownership, follow through, and thrive in an environment where every day is different — from closing a lease on Thursday to solving a vendor issue on Sunday. You understand small business, enjoy working face-to-face with entrepreneurs, and take pride in seeing the market busy and successful.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
