The main responsibility of the Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Resident Formation Program (RFP) within a larger context of WH’s operations at both campuses and in accordance with the WHFS vision. In addition to the program implementation, the Program Coordinator is also a mentor to the residents and serves in a dynamic capacity by offering leadership, guidance, coaching, and pastoral support that contribute to the residents’ healing, growth, and transformation.

The Program Coordinator is a member of the Client Services Team, and they work together to ensure the diverse elements of the program advance spiritual, psychological, physical, nutritional, social, and personal development of the residents.

The person serving in this role oversees and maintains all aspects of the RFP program and actively seeks out new partnerships with outside stakeholders to teach, mentor, and coach residents throughout the duration of their one year program.
- Responsibilities and Duties:

- Plans, coordinates, and implements the RFP calendar/curriculum (e.g., foundational classes, program events, small groups, recreational outings, weekly classes, new resident orientation, guest speakers, church rotation schedules, graduations).
- Hosts and resources all guest speakers, worship leaders and third-party facilitators of classes.
- Maintains and incorporates program elements that are relevant to all residents regardless of background, ethnicity, gender, and religious belief.
- Mentors residents on the matters pertaining to their experience in the program or/and topics of concern in their recovery journey
- Organizes and provides program resources to residents pertinent to their recovery needs such as literature, video resources, or curriculum.
- Attends weekly staff meetings and articulates relevant updates/concerns.
- Attends monthly Client Services Team meetings, communicates, and coordinates with other staff members to ensure the collaborative nature of the program and engagement of the residents.
- Leads graduation ceremonies for residents during Friday worship services.
- Connects and maintains relationships with individuals and organizations in the community to build a network of support and community involvement relevant to the program.
- Works with the WHFS directors to create and operate annual budget for the program.

Qualifications:

- Five plus years of experience as a program coordinator/lead, facilitator/instructor, mentor, pastor, community and program liaison or a similar position in the human service sector. Preferably includes experience and training related to addictions, recovery, and treatment for addictions.
- A bachelor’s degree or educational training in biblical studies, counselling, human services, or social work is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory, and relationship building skills with the focus on serving a community of people recovering from addictions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate groups and classes.
- Interest in providing support and mentorship to practicum/internship students and volunteers.
- Ability to represent Wagner Hills in the community and build relationships with community stakeholders interested in the RFP program and Wagner Hills Farm Society more broadly.
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to set clear boundaries with residents in a calm, thoughtful and intentional manner.

**Part-Time**: up to 32 hours/week. $27/hr.
