**What will you be doing in this role?**:

- Responsible for the overall management of the contracting department
- Responsible for hiring and training of new staff members
- Provide superior customer support for internal and external partners
- Ensure Service Level Standards are maintained
- Create and implement new processes and efficiencies
- Create and implement various training and referral materials
- Conduct regular staff meetings
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to staff including yearly performance reviews
- Work with various vendors and back office system providers to improve current processes and overall needs
- Maintain a full understanding of acquisitions, contracting, transfers, regulatory licensing, compliance and privacy rules/laws, contract changes, transfers of business (in and out), consolidations, and buy/sell blocks of business
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, insurance carriers, advisors
- Update and maintain corporate provincial licensing
- Provide escalation support from multiple sources, stakeholders
- Responsible for successful integration of mergers and acquisitions
- Oversee contracting volumes and ensure Service Level Standards are maintained
- Updating, maintaining back office systems and third party vendors, with new info when adding new carriers etc.

**What qualifications are required?**:

- College diploma, University degree, or equivalent experience
- Professional/Technical certifications, designations or licenses (ie. Fellow Life Management Institute / FLMI) are an asset

**What should your experience look like?**:

- Possesses advanced knowledge of all contracting functions and processes
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an MGA contracting role
- Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Wealthserv, carrier sites, Sentry File, APEXA an asset
