We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Administrator. The Contracts Administrator is a liaison between Project Managers and their clients (public and private sectors) and subcontractors. The administrator ensures accuracy and compliance with each prime and subcontract under the direction of Project Managers with a direct report to the Controller.

**Responsibilities**:
**Contracts**
- Review, interpret, and maintain contract documents
- Prepare, distribute, scan and file contract documents for subcontractors and clients
- Identify and obtain project securities (bonds, insurance, etc.) requested by clients

**System**
- Initial project setup for Gateman-Milloy Inc. and Grower’s Choice projects in Jonas Construction
- Imports project budgets from divisional estimating systems into Jonas Construction
- Setup subcontracts into Jonas Construction
- Review and post progress payment certificates in Jonas Construction
- Assist in entering construction billing into Jonas Construction

**Insurance & Compliance**
- Request insurance for projects as specified in subcontract agreement
- Maintain up to date project insurance, subcontractor WSIB files and form 1000s

**Requirements**:

- Ability to read, understand, and speak English at a grade 12 level
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are required
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail is required
- Well organized and able to work well under pressure
- Proficient in legal and contract English
- Ability to enter data and submit queries on database ERP system
- Communication skills (facilitation, listening, verbal, written, presentation, negotiation); to negotiate, agree and document contracts with clients, subcontractors, and all levels of internal staff are required
- Relationship management skills in order to comfortably and effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and all levels of internal staff are required
- Construction aptitude / understanding of construction concepts an asset
- Familiarity with insurance and indemnities
- A college diploma related field to administration or relevant years of experience is preferred
