**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation Programs, this position is responsible for the safe and accessible delivery and administration of all inclusion programs, while supporting the children and youth team with the delivery of camps and recreation programs for the Town of Milton, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. This role directly supervises part-time staff and volunteers in the day-to-day delivery of recreation programs within the children and youth portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plans and implements recreation programs related to children and youth; including all camps and inclusion programs
- Supervises part-time staff and volunteer team including; recruiting, hiring, training, payroll, supervising, scheduling, coaching, development and evaluations
- Researches and monitors trends, community demographics, participation levels, customer requests and customer satisfaction results to offer recommendations for program development
- Enters all program information into recreation software.
- Support successful integration into recreation programs for inclusion participants through training and supporting recreation staff, meeting with parents/guardians to create integration plans and ongoing development of the ICAN (Integrated Care for Assisted Needs) camps and programs
- Maintains ongoing communication with program, facility and customer service staff to maintain a high level of team efficiency. Maintains program records, daily and/or session checklists, attendance, stats collection
- Attends and supports community events and initiatives to increase brand awareness and promote recreation programs
- Prepares program area budget for supervisor approval; inputs budget into budget system and monitors program budget areas while considering opportunities for revenue generation or cost-saving initiatives throughout the year
- Complies with and assumes appropriate supervisory responsibility for compliance with all health and safety practices of the Division in accordance with standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in Recreation & Leisure or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years progressive supervisor experience in a municipal or recreational setting
- Experience working with individuals with exceptionalities required
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Behaviour Management Systems certification or equivalent preferred
- Behaviour Management Systems Trainer certification or equivalent preferred
- Safe Food Handling Certification preferred
- Proficiency with PerfectMind/Xplor Recreation Software an asset
- Experience working in financial management software preferred
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development - PCHD
- High Five Quest 1 & 2 Certification preferred
- High Five Trainer Certification preferred

Annual Salary: $69,332 - $86,667
