Latincouver is a non-profit organization that, for the past 15 years, has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.

Working Hours**:40 hours per week (office)**

Wages**:$20.00 per hour**

**Job Summary**:We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Coordinator (CO-OP) to join our team at Latincouver. The Business Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, meeting sponsorship sales targets, and developing relationships with prospective clients. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual who can contribute to our mission of promoting Latin American culture and engagement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify prospective clients through targeted lead research within an assigned market.
- Meet sponsorship sales targets for individual events, contributing to overall revenue goals.
- Develop and maintain a continuous pipeline of leads to generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish earned revenue goals for each project.
- Perform sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
- Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
- Manage multiple channel selling strategies to maximize outreach and impact.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and drive in all client interactions.
- Meet with key clients, assisting sales staff with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Work in conjunction with the Project team to ensure that all new partners receive contracted elements.
- Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and contribute to product strategies.
- Prepare monthly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and proposed client base expansion areas.
- Send a weekly report to the Latincouver Director and Project Manager, summarizing progress and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's growth and mission.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of business development principles and strategies.
- Exceptional research and lead generation skills.
- Effective negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Cultural awareness and a passion for promoting Latin American culture is an asset.
